There is Federal Stimulus money available for Eligible professionals who adopt a qualified Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. You could be eligible to receive as much as $44,000.00. This money is available over five years for practices who begin using a qualified Electronic Health Records System by 2011.

Eligible Professionals included the following:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy - M.D. or D.O.
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery or Medicine - D.D.S or D.D.M
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine - D.P.M.
  • Doctor of Optometry - O.D.
  • Chiropractor - D.C
  • A physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or clinical nurse specialist
  • A certified registered nurse anesthetist
  • A certified nurse-midwife
  • A clinical social worker
  • A clinical psychologist
  • A registered dietitian or nutrition professional
